Yeah, because condoms are one hundred percent effective. Even if they are 99% effective, which they are not, that means an average couple would still get knocked up at least once every couple of years. Unless, of course, your lady doesn’t put out. In my experience, I’ve found that they break roughly 5-10% of the time.

The Renaissance didn’t happen because of the plague. It happened because byzantine scholars fled from the Ottoman Turks threatening Constantinople, bringing Greek and Roman culture with them.
Europeans didn’t migrate en masse to the new world until the 19th century, long after the enlightenment period was over.

The Renaissance. People make a lot of babies, things get crowded again, standard of living for the poor gets worse and then? The New World is discovered. In the next 5 years there will be Hyper inflation in the West and the UK will be at the bottom of the Pile with America on top of it. China will keep on rolling as will the East as they Produce and Save. Financial Sectors are dead – only Germany in the West will roll by due to its produce and tourist nations will just get by. Japan China Oil and Gas rich nations and agriculture nations will do just fine
